Mapping - Black Culture Festivals Global Platform
Black culture festivals/celebrations/events praise the ancestry, memory, history, expressions, traditions, creativity, technologies, trends, and future of black people and communities in the world who, today, are victims of structural racism and the devastating consequences of enslavement and colonization.

"Black festivals promote cultural and economic empowerment as a strategy against structural racism".

The Black Festivals Global Platform connects the world's Black culture festivals/celebrations/events and creates an open community that shares knowledge, experiences, and best practices in management, governance, business models, concept, programming, audience, communications, use of technologies, entrepreneurship, and much more. It also promotes the creation of networks, exchange, and circulation of artists and entrepreneurs, content production and recognition of festivals, and their fundraising.

The Black Culture Festivals Global Platform is an initiative inspired by the experiences of the Feira Preta Festival in Brazil and the Petronio Alvarez Pacific Music Festival Álvarez in Colombia, which for more than 20 years have promoted the economic empowerment of black people through the promotion of black entrepreneurship in the creative economy, and the establishment of a new, more equitable and fair black market. The Global Network also partners with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil and the network of partner organizations of Instituto Feira Preta/PretaHub and the Petronio Alvarez Pacific Music Festival.
